A new place

We have been tucked up in our new cottage for three weeks or so now, slowly renovating room by room. My studio was first on the list as I simply cannot go a day without drawing or sewing and insisted we tackle the most important room in the house first.
Mr Nick has been spending his evenings stripping layers of ancient wallpaper, sanding and painting and I've been busy sewing a working on my books.
The weather has turned from the warm hues of late autumn to the silvery light of early winter and this is being reflected in my work. The spectrum of winter colours are endless - less obvious than spring, summer and autumn but so beautifully rewarding if you look closely enough.
